The project in brief

Together with our partner, RIHSI, we have provided the fire protection for the two care homes Jingjing and Warm Home in Taiwan. The two care homes have recently undergone extensive refurbishment which included a new fire protection system.

As part of the refurbishment work, the VID Fire-Kill Low Pressure Watermist system was installed in communal spaces, hallways, and bed units.

Why was a VID Fire-Kill solution chosen?

The owner of the two care homes chose a low pressure watermist solution over a traditional sprinkler solution due to:

In case of fire and activation the low pressure watermist system ensures less water damage,
Smaller pipe dimensions compared to a traditional sprinkler system,
The low pressure watermist system is easy to retrofit,
Easy to install and maintain.

Some specifics

Pendent low pressure watermist OH-VSO nozzles were installed recessed in the ceilings.

The VID Fire-Kill Model WAC alarm check valves have been installed in the pump rooms.
