Product Description

The VID Fire-Kill Model OH-OPX1 Suez & Panama are patented open, low pressure watermist nozzles ideal for installations on car and truck decks. The nozzle provides a highly reliable and enhanced firefighting performance along with low water requirements compared to conventional solutions such as drenchers / sprinklers. The Suez design of the Model OH-OPX1 can be used to protect car decks and the Panama design used for truck decks.

Model HS56-90 is a high-speed water spray nozzle which delivers a full cone spray of water from the nozzle in an angle of 90º ±5%. The Model HS56-90 nozzle is designed for fire protection of car deck on ferries where the area is open in one or both ends.

Product Approval & Scope

Approval

Model OH-OPX1 Suez & Panama are MED and Type Approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) to MSC.1/Circ. 1272 / 1430. The Suez configuration was used at 2.5m ceiling height and the Panama configuration at 5m ceiling height.

The Model HS56-90 is component tested in accordance with IMO MSC Circ 1165 and holding DnVGL MED-B Approval for RO-RO deck in accordance with IMO MSC.1/Circ. 1430, Clause 4 Additional  prescriptive-based system.

Scope

For ceiling heights up to 2.5m Model OH-OPX1 Suez nozzles can protect car decks and other areas where cars are parked with a maximum of 30 cm distance between them.

For ceiling heights up to 5m Model OH-OPX1 Panama nozzles can protect truck decks and other areas where trucks are parked with a maximum of 30 cm distance between them.

For ceiling heights up to 9,0 m Model HS56 nozzles can protect car and truck decks trucks are parked. Systems are designed in accordance with IMO MSC.1/Circ. 1430, Clause 4 Additional  prescriptive-based system.
