Product Description

The VID Fire-Kill Fire Protection System Model DFI-1 is a small safe and reliable, self-contained fire protection system, with automatic and manual release, designed for the protection of commercial fat fryers typically found in private kitchens, restaurant kitchens, street kitchens, grill bars and other such places. The systems are shipped fully assembled and can be installed within 15min. The DFI-1 is programmed to detect fires in fryers fast, and thereafter automatically release the wet chemical agent, extinguishing the fire fast and safe. At the same time the unit can shut down the power supply to the fryer and send an alarm to the necessary. The unit runs on 12VDC only, making is easy to include a back-up power supply.

Approval

The Model DFI-1 is successfully tested to the European Norm EN 3-7:2004 + A1:2007, class 25F, witnessed and verified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas). The tests consisted of full scale fire tests and splash tests.

Scope

The Model DFI-1 can protect commercial fryers containing no more than 25l cooking oil, and with a maximum fryer pool surface area of 0.3m x 0.6m. The unit shall be mounted with the nozzle / hose end between 0.6m and 1.2m over the surface area.
